The JP70 has been finished with a relatively wide 49.5 millimetre nut, supporting spacious string-spacing and broad vibratos without fear of note-death. The extra space also makes it easier to grab more complex chords without fretting the wrong strings and, since the fretboard has been given a mega-flat 16 inch radius, licks and solos have a light and near-effortless feel beneath the fret-hand. Add on that extra low-B string, and your rhythms and riffs are given some tight and brutal low-end.
